I recently had the opportunity to visit LakeSide Wedding Venue for their ribbon cutting with Shawnee Forward. It had been about a year or more since I had been out there, and it has changed so much. Greta and Elliot Shuler of Heavenly Grind Coffee Co. recently purchased the LakeSide Wedding Venue and have already got to work on making it even better for brides, grooms, and parties with the most recent addition of the Groom’s suite. After being in the event business for 13 years as photobooth and photography business owners, they were able to fulfill their dream of running a venue that is the perfect location for weddings and events.
Although the Shulers just took over in late 2020, the venue has been around, and a community staple for over 40 years. Events have always been Greta’s passion and that became evident with the ownership of Picstories, a photobooth and flipbook business. One of her favorite aspects of the business is the creativity and being able to help everyone bring the vision for their event to life. While running a business is in her blood, one of the biggest challenges she has had to overcome is juggling all that she and Elliot do as well as still carving out time to decompress.
Greta and Elliot are excited to have a grand opening event in the coming months so that the community can see what amazing things they have to offer. A date has not yet been set as they want to wait until it is safe to do so and health concerns are not as great. Keep an eye out on Your Shawnee, OK for more details about the grand opening when it it schedule!
